Genuinely Authentic
We are honest, transparent, and kind, with the courage to say the hard thing. We do what we say we will do, and we build trust one interaction at a time.
OUR HISTORY · SINCE 1980
What started as one Anchorage store in 1980 is now 13 branches across four states — owned, top to bottom, by the 215 people who run them.
OUR MISSION
To provide superior service and quality products, with a culture of integrity, knowledge, and accountability, while increasing value for our customers and employee owners.
ARG Industrial began its journey as Alaska Rubber & Rigging Supply, Inc., in 1980. The one store in Anchorage has grown through acquisition and expansion to four branches in Alaska, six branches in Washington, two branches in Oregon, and one branch in Idaho.
Along the way our corporate history stretched back further than our own founding — the companies we’ve joined with carry roots into the mid‑1960s. Our customers rely on us to offer the best products and service in the industry. We pride ourselves on being the secret to your success.
HOW WE GOT HERE
Every branch on this list started as somebody else’s life’s work. We’ve grown by joining forces with people who already knew their market cold.
Alaska Rubber & Rigging Supply, Inc. opens a single location in Anchorage.
Alaska Rubber becomes a 100% employee owned ESOP — the foundation for what would become ARG Industrial.
A new Wasilla branch and the acquisition of Alaska Rubber and Rigging in Fairbanks doubled the company’s size and footprint in Alaska.
Five Washington companies join in a single year: Central Hose & Fittings (Pasco), Inland Pacific Hose & Fittings (Spokane), North Sound Hose & Fittings (Everett), Pacific Rubber Inc. (Seattle) and Timco Inc. (Tacoma).
Alaska Rubber & Supply opens in Kenai, extending statewide coverage and serving the thriving Kenai Peninsula oil & gas industry.
Arctic Wire Rope & Supply in Anchorage, AK and Pacific Hose & Fittings in Portland, OR broaden our rigging expertise and open the Oregon market.
Industrial Supply Inc. of Bellingham, WA joins ARG, deepening our northwest Washington coverage.
Our first Idaho store opens in Hayden in 2024, adding a fourth state to the map, followed by a Salem branch that deepens our coverage of the Willamette Valley.
All 13 ARG locations are retail and wholesale distributors of industrial and hydraulic hose, fittings and related products — serving agriculture, marine, oil & gas, construction, mining, OEM, fishing and government agencies. Our Anchorage and Fairbanks locations run fully equipped rigging departments, and Anchorage holds the largest rigging fabrication and testing equipment in the state of Alaska.
WHAT WE STAND ON
These five are the standard we hire to, coach to, and hold each other to. They describe how we show up for our customers, our communities, and each other as employee owners.
We are honest, transparent, and kind, with the courage to say the hard thing. We do what we say we will do, and we build trust one interaction at a time.
We bring a growth mindset to our work. We look for the better way, focus on solutions, and keep raising the bar for ourselves, our teams, and the customers we serve.
We are team players who put the customer first. We communicate openly, support one another across branches and departments, and win together.
As 100% employee owners we take responsibility, follow through, and show initiative. We recognize the Four R’s of ownership: Risks, Rights, Responsibilities, and Rewards.
We are persistent, resilient, and competitive. We work the problem until it is solved, and we do not quit on a customer.
WHERE WE ARE
Every location is a retail and wholesale distributor of industrial and hydraulic hose, fittings and related products, backed by inside sales teams that take orders by phone, email or web.
Customer service is the cornerstone of our business model, and it’s how we’ve grown and kept a loyal customer base. We partner with manufacturers operating domestically and across the globe, and we’ve built a wide network of associate distributors to extend our reach. Our outside sales staff travels Alaska and the Pacific Northwest providing product service, support and training.
We participate in the development and enrichment of our communities from Alaska to the Pacific Northwest — because in an employee owned company, the people who live in those communities are the same people who own the business.
