ARG Industrial Dyneema Extension Line, Size: 5/16 in, Length: 50 ft, Material Construction: UHMWPE, 12 Strand, Includes: Stainless Steel Thimble Eye Both Ends A 5/16 in 12-strand UHMWPE (Dyneema) line, 50 ft, finished with a stainless thimble eye at each end so it can be added between a winch line and a recovery point to double the reach. Synthetic winch line is specified over steel for three reasons: it weighs a fraction as much, it stores far less energy under load so a parted line does not whip the way steel does, and it never develops the barbs that shred hands and gloves.
