Cradle lugs are the difference between shortening a sling and derating it.
Gunnebo Industries GrabiQ™ Clevis Cradle Grab Hook, Series: GG, Trade Size: 9/32 in, Load Capacity: 4500 lb, Grade: 100, Attachment Type: Clevis, Material: Steel, Material Construction: Alloy Steel, Length: 2.24 in A clevis shortening hook with supporting cradle lugs on both sides of the throat. The cradle takes the bearing of the chain link so the chain is not derated when it is shortened - an ordinary grab hook without cradle lugs costs you capacity every time you use it. Suits 7 mm Grade 100 or Grade 80 chain at 4,500 lb (2.0 t) working load limit, 4:1 design factor. Conforms to EN 1677:2008 (WLL +25 percent), ASTM A952/A952M and AS 3776:2015. Gunnebo stock number Z100845.
